Her name's Leslie Jones. She auditioned at the same time as Sasheer but was hired as a writer instead. Last season she did a bit during Weekend Update and I guess they liked her on-screen persona because they started using her more and more on sketches during the show.
I haven't seen this week's episode, but according to the Wiki article, she was officially listed as a featured player last night. In other words, she's apparently in the opening credits now.
I'm sure she was super nervous. Their first live perfomance together and on SNL..hopefully she gets better.
