I think a disproportionate number of gay men are highly intelligent, but there are so many that just aren't. You can just go out and meet gay guys and realize how stupid so many of them are. Or just read this forum.

Gays are smart but we is sloppy sexually.. the facts dont lie.. look at all the cdc findings and youll see we cant think sometime with our head but with our d. (we are worse then the straights)
I think we as gay men, are a little more composed and logical than most straight guys. We tend to get catty and malevolent though, that's the one thing that's always bothered me. I don't mean to generalize though.
FFS even the grand ol' US of A ain't fully on board yet. Sort out that "land of the free".
