According to ATRL, fat shaming is okay but skinny shaming is wrong... But skinny people don't get their self esteem nearly as hurt when they are insulted for being skinny. And it's usually a hardly hurtful, "You're too skinny". For fat people, it's extremely damaging. "She's too fat!" or laughing and staring. The skinny body is more desired and is plastered all over the media as what's normal, so when you're made fun of for being skinny it's not as hurtful. Just like how black people get more hurt when you call them "******" than white people who get called "cracker" because the n-word is associated with systemic discrimination of black people, slavery, and years of suffering from racism from the white man.
You can be skinny and be extremely unhealthy, most skinny people are, at least the teenagers. You can be fat and be healthy.
I disagree with your last comment saying a lot of fat people are healthy. If you're fat then you're not treating your body right and there's a variety of diseases that come with a higher % of body fat.

There's various diseases that come with being skinny and eating only junk food, and filling your arteries up with plaque from it.
Yup. You can be extremely healthy and be overweight by the BMI.
Yea.... See I doubt a fat person is going to go to the doctor and hear that they are extremely healthy. And with all this exercise home girl in the video claims she does you'd think she would be a bit smaller.

You're right, because doctors are so fixated on the fact that it's bad to be slightly overweight (esp. psychiatrists) that they push their patients to lose weight without even asking them about their diet/exercise routine.
For example, Demi Lovato is considered overweight by most people yet she's always exercising and talking about eating healthy. She had to basically starve herself for years to become what society deems a 'normal' size, yet her heart was palipating, her brain was shrinking, her organs were shriveling ip in her body as she starved herself and looked 'healthy'. Skinny =\= healthy. Exercising =\= becoming skinny or 'normal' sized.

Most bodybuilders are "obese" in the BMI scale. But those people you posted up there, it's pretty obvious their Body fat % is above 35%.
While we should not discriminate or make fun of them, they should be told that it is unhealthy and that they should consider losing weight. It's for their own good.

You literally cannot be serious. Why would this NOT be hurtful to someone who's been given **** about their weight? It works EXACTLY in the same way as being called fat. It's a personal insult, not something to do with society's expectations to be thin.
Both fat AND skinny shaming are wrong. That's just that. I don't see why people ALWAYS try to make one side of an argument okay by shooting down the other. Both are bad. End of.
People shouldn't be picked on/put down because of their appearance and body.
With that said though, it is unhealthy to be on the obese side as it is to be on the anorexic side.
