Dddd; but sis most of the US laws esp their common law is actually descended from the UKs common law, coming from the fact that the US was once a British colony - the UK law in some respects are actually more librel too.

What am I supposed to do if two chavs try to push me onto the train tracks? Knife them? But how can I do that when my knife is left at home due to UK laws?

Because the US is the exception. Always have been, always will be. Believe me I want guns gone just as much as the next person, but the US has a culture instilled in it that doesn't allow for a nationwide gun ban. And we have the constitution.
