Oh please, shut up it's a .17 HMR. It's meant for shooting nothing larger than rabbits. There's nothing weird about it. When I was 2 my grandpa bought me a 12 gauge.

I hate how you guys are so butthurt over guns. There will never be gun control. I mean how stupid can y'all be, guns don't kill people. And the people in other countries complaining about America and how they think they are so cool because their country probably has gun control are complete idiots. There is a reason why the US is #1 with freedom

How many times do children and innocent people need to be killed in America before you people realize that its time to stop making excuses and actually amend your constitution? Talking about how "guns don't kill people", yet I'm pretty sure that this boy never would have been able to kill that student if he didn't have a gun with him. He likely wouldn't have had enough time or strength to kill the student with his bare hands so clearly the gun is what played the major role in this shooting. I don't think its a coincidence that America, a country with poor gun control has one of the highest gun murder rates in Western society. Gun control isn't about being "cool", its about protecting the citizens of your country. Then y'all talk about how your country is "#1 with freedom" even though there's still strong racism in Southern states and gay people still can't get married in many parts of your country, so how exactly is your country "free"?

We need to up our mental health help. Okay, it is bad that kids are getting murdered in schools, but guns are not to blame. It is the kids with the mental health problems that are getting control of guns and shooting their classmates. Banning guns would be completely useless. If we first take the time to build up our mental health support, we could tell the warning signs and keep an eye on people that are a danger to themselves or people around them. Do you realize that mental health is probably at the same level or even more important than physical health? If you are not mentally stable, then it's going to be a huge issue, especially with teenagers. I know teens aren't the only ones shooting, but really we should be taking the time to help everybody with mental health issues. Regarding racism, people are not going to be racist to you to your face, they will talk behind your back. Do you not talk #### about other people behind their backs? I am a Mexican/White teenager in Florida and when I go out I do see a majority of whites. I have never been called any derogatory term. I have also seen African Americans out and nobody is calling them the "n" word so the racism is not a huge issue. Regarding gay marriage, I know people want it to be legal but is it really a huge issue compared to mentally unstable shooters? Come on now, get real. I am not trying to sound insensitive, I am trying to sound reasonable and not outrageous/ignorant like a lot of people on here towards gun control.

Girl, BYE.
If a mental unstable person can't own a gun then he also can't shoot people, that's the simple truth.
I'm not going to go into the mentally ill people discussion but this was damn wrong.

Ban guns firstly and then control those unstable people.
That way people in general will be a lot safer tbh.

I'm guessing you live in either Los Angeles or NYC or somewhere outside of the US. If so, you would not understand why guns should not be banned. Look up "why guns should not be banned" and you will see how ridiculous ppl on here are with their ridiculous gun control issues. What happens if ISIS fighters break into your house and you don't have a gun or any weapon to defend yourself? Are you going to try to talk them out of not shooting you? People really are in a fantasy land these days

The more people who die, the more we need the 2nd Amendment.
