So Serena Williams was at the Mariah concert in Singapore today and during "Hero" the camera showed Serena signing along on the big screen and the audience cheered for her, however, Mariah thought they were cheering her fantastic live vocals and stopped singing to say "Why thank you"

If you watch all of the performances, you'd realize that Mariah, midsong, was responding to fans' signs. I cant see this case being any different.
