Before I explain why, Beyonce is one of my all time favorite artists and I absolutely love her BUT, thinking about it, she has been the leader for years now and she has yet to bring something that is innovative to the table. Her R&B lacks substance and diversity, and unfortunately, all the other bitches follow her lead. Her booty-shaking and mindless diva **** anthems have changed R&B music for the WORSE.

Yay, my first post. Ok, back to the topic. I just...don't...understand. Your calling Beyonce's music bull sh!t anthems when you have Ms. 1,2 Step as your icon?? Ms. Goodies and Go Girl??? Oh really? It doesn't get more sh!tastic than Ciara. Beyonce's worse "sh!t anthem" sh!ts over Ciara's career and thats a fact. Not trying to start an argument but that comment was one of the craziest things I've ever heard. As far as this topic goes...R&B is not dead. Its just not selling. The moment people start to crave R&B/soul music the sooner it'll be on top. People just need to buy it, its not like its not there. Tamia is a perfect example...but people are so busy saying that its dead that theyre not taking the time to look for it and share it with others. Beyonce hasn't been R&B since her first album with DC...how many people actually remember that? I also don't understand why people are saying they "sold out". Is it because they were black and decided they wanted to crossover and turn pop? So R&B music is the only type of music black people should make and if they crossover they're selling out? They saw an opportunity, ran with, and continued to push R&B together with pop...they infused it. Thats why you have songs like "If" and "Cater 2 U"...or is that not R&B either? I agree with the other people who said that its just a cycle...and it'll be on top again one day.
