VALENCIA (CBSLA.com) — A father is demanding justice Wednesday after a disturbing video surfaced and was posted online showing a group of teenage boys attacking his son.
The incident reportedly occurred last Friday evening outside Valencia High School.
The victim’s father told Daut his son was leaving a football game when the group suddenly surrounded and then attacked the teen.
The attack was captured on cell phone video. The faces are blurred because all the participants are minors.
The victim is shown being slammed into a fence before he is repeatedly punched by the group.
The 16-year-old who is the target of the violence is pushed to the ground where the attack continues.
The boy eventually gets up and is able to run away.
He said his son suffered a sprained neck as well as several cuts and bruises.
The school district told Daut they are taking the attack seriously but it was too soon to call it a case of bullying.
A change.org petition, however, is asking that the assailants be removed from Valencia’s junior varsity baseball team. The petition has more than 1,600 signatures. It is believed some of the assailants were dressed in pink for a breast cancer awareness event at school.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department is also looking at the video and told Daut criminal charges could be filed.

Like, I'm so embarrassed to be an Alumni from that school right now because this NEVER happened when I went there, and on top of that, from what I've heard they haven't suspended ANYONE yet. It's just disgusting how they are letting these guys get away with it just because they are on baseball
