My new laptop is here.
I've never had a PC with Windows 8 so it better not disappoint me too much although I'm sure it can't be as good as King Windows 7. It seems cool so far. So much customisation to do. So much music to download again. So many things to install. I'm so excited though.
Windows 8 used to be so messy when it first came out but now it's fine. I had to install the menu bar though because I can't edit my wallpaper or the settings in general without access to the control panel.
neurons are weird and confusing i can't wrap my head around the fact that all of this stuff is going on in our brains at any given moment and that there are so many neurons and how each tiny little neuron has so many parts in it and is so intricate and complicated
biopsychology will **** you up man
and actually this unit was less confusing and in part of it we talked about what causes homosexuality! in case you're wondering, they still don't know. the most accepted answer is that it's multiple things including your environment when you're growing up, factors when you're developing in the womb, and genetics. the differences between gay men and straight men are interesting too and prove that it's definitely not a choice, parts of the brain are bigger or smaller or work differently in homosexuals. it's interesting actually because gay men are a lot more like women in brain chemistry but not to the point of being the same, so they (or we, i guess) end up being their own category. and lesbians are another beast entirely and actually haven't had nearly enough research done on them so we're even less sure of what causes that
and we learned about what causes people to be transgender too, and they're not 100% sure on that either but there's a lot of evidence that says there's legitimate differences in brain chemistry between people that are and aren't, so yes, being transgender is a legitimate medical condition (not really a disease, but it is a clinical category). also don't believe people on tumblr and places like that that act like all gender identities are caused by the same thing because being transgender in the sense of feeling you were born in the wrong gender's body is something distinct and totally different from other types of gender identity and a separation should be made.
yes i just posted a huge pointless rant about biopsychology because i'm EXCITED
My OkCupid profile says that I am 'pure'' and also 'sex driven.' So it's calling me a thirsty virgin basically. This is what I get for answering their dumb questions honestly.
