As for touring, you have the internet to thank for how well Katy and these other pop girls are doing with their tours nowadays. During Mariah's peak people used to queue for hours upon hours for tickets whereas nowadays they can get tickets by just clicking a button, the only female that was doing it big then in touring was Madonna, Janet also to some extent.
