I once did also. And i can say you only realise they're that at some time e.g when something happens to you and none of them are there for you and most just move away. My solution was just to slowly distance myself from them. You let them go gently by not saying more than you need to in conversions and just slowly you'll drift apart or they'll get the message. That or you confront them ...which will be very awkward
