So, I have noticed that ever since I have upgraded my 6+ to iOS 8.0.2 the playcounts on my iTunes are going too high too fast.

For example:
I have played a song once on my phone. When I sync it to my iTunes it adds 2 or more although I only played it once. It duplicates itself and adds more and more with time.

Azealia Banks - Chasing Times got 20+ playcounts last time although I only played it three times before I synced it.

Do you guys have the same issue?

It's annoying because I dislike false information. And my last.fm suffers from it, as well.

Not a bad thing if it comes to last.fm

It hasn't happened to me, but others around me have said the same thing. I don't know if there is a fix yet that Apple is working on. That would annoy me, too.

I havent checked my iTunes play count in a while but iv noticed this problem with last fm tripling my play count

OMG I noticed this as well, how weird lol. But yeah, my playcounts are skyrocketing.

A random Chris Brown song from X is now like my #2 most played.

last.fm isnt a contest
it's a way of accurately tracking your plays.

My android doesn't do this Sounds like an Apple problem

But Google Play and Spotify both can scrobble on my Android

Just use Spotify. iTunes is horrid.

I had it too but when i updated iTunes it was fixed
