Beyonce is a successful brand, name, celebrity, enterprise. Beyonce is not just Beyonce Knowles-Carter. It's a huge amount of people writing songs for her, countless producers who take credits for her songs. Her fans are always bringing her touring receipts, while it's obvious people do not have to like an artist to go to their show. I admit I would go see Knowles performing not because I like her. I just know it's a huge show with millions of dollars invested in every single one. I would be interested in what they have come up with. Beyonce never speaks publicly, she hires publicists who plan her every step. Not only do we know nothing about her, but she's not even trying to express her emotions through her songs. I don't know her personality, I don't know her feelings. If only she was able to express them through her music. But she doesn't. That's why, for me she's not an artist. She's a product.
