Pitbull will make his presence felt at the American Music Awards, again. The high-profile rapper will host the Nov. 23 ceremony, and he’ll perform a song from his upcoming album release Globalization.
"World, who would have thought Pitbull hosting the AMAs two years in a row," said Armando Christian Perez, better known by his Pitbull stage name, in a statement. "The harder I work, the luckier I get. Thank you ABC and dick clark productions for the amazing opportunity -- more than anything let's get ready to have fun. Dale!"
Pitbull and Charli XCX are the first confirmed performers for the big show, though additional artists and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks, organizers say.
The Pitbull-hosted 2013 American Music Awards was a ratings success. That event attracted 12.93 million total viewers, the best result in four years.
“Pitbull is a global superstar and multi-talented powerhouse, who delivered one of the most exciting shows in American Music Awards history when he hosted in 2013. This year will be no different,” said legendary American Music Awards producer Larry Klein. “We’re working together to create elements of the show that will wow audiences and take the night to a whole new level.
