Every songwriter and singer out there sing about their exes. Taylor only gets the negative attention because the media is always targeting her instead of all the other singers. It's totally sexist and actually bullying. They totally pick on her on purpose just to splash her name across the magazine/tabloid covers and get dirty gossip going. She's doing nothing different compared to the other writers. The only thing she does differently is write from an honest perspective and doesn't water down her emotions. She's a real, true artist.

Exactly. I am pleased that Taylor has explicitly addressed this point to rebut the hypocritical criticism regarding singing about relationships Not only is it sexist, it displays a massive ignorance of the history of songwriting and muses.
This follows on from her recently speaking about being a feminist and also her calling out the gossip press in several interviews for making up stories about her and spreading blatant lies about her life. I feel that she has addressed these issues and put her opinions on these three things on the record.
Her activities on Tumblr, her Becky t-shirt and the Graham Norton Show are really showing the world her sense of humour and personality. The Secret Sessions really underline how much she does for her fans compared to other artists. No-one could deny she goes an extra-mile for her fans.
Without even talking about the music, I am very pleased with how the 1989 Era has gone so far due to all the above. Taylor has handled it all better than I could have dreamt.
