Okay, I don't know if this is the right place to post or not, but I was just wondering... Is anyone else having problems with the fonts in their web browsers? The font is screwed up for me in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Google Chrome because that's my primary web browser, and I did a system restore and disabled DirectWrite, but that only partially helped. My font used to be like, Arial. It was compact and thin and really nice-looking, and now it's more like Franklin Gothic. It's kind of hard to explain. No one else seems to have this problem, but if anyone else is, do you know how to fix it?

My font started looking weird weeks ago. First in my uncle's computer and now in my laptop. It was clear and defined and one day it started to look like blurry and smaller. I don't know why it happened but it bothered me so much

Now that you say it, yes, it looks more like Franklin Gothic than Arial now, nnn it annoys me so much

It happened to me weeks ago. Facebook was using italic bold instead of arial. Yahoo, various sites, and ATRL changed a bit.

Recently I have installed a game and after that problem was solved!

Edit: I tried everything, delete all my fonts, re install some fonts and Update Windows 8 to Windows 8.1

I noticed earlier when I was making a signature

Install MacType for Windows. It's a font renderer similar to that one in OS X. It's so much better than Microsoft's Cleartype. It will make your fonts bolder.

For Google Chrome, it changed Century Gothic and Arial Narrow. And it sucks because those are the two fonts I use most on here.



I tried to look for solutions but I didn't find anything about changing it, only for changing it if you're making a website.
