I never pay on a date. I'm a queen and I deserve to be treated like one.

This is just my opinion on what the etiquette is for gay guys. On a first date, 50/50 if it's a mutual meet-up, or you break it up, so he pays for the meal and you buy the first 3 rounds of drinks. If he asks you out, he pays. If you ask him out, you pay. Anything after the first date you take turns, so he pays for the 2nd, you pay for the 3rd, he pays for the 4th etc. Or you just break the night up again, he pays for the first few drinks, you pay for the meal, he pays for the movie tickets, you pay for the taxi, etc. You just take turns paying basically.

If it's a first date, it's hard to tell sometimes who should pay. I say the person who asked the other out should pay, but then I've usually just gone ahead and paid anyway. My boyfriend and I take turns paying for dates so it's easier to do more.
