A 34-year-old woman has been charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty in connection with the alleged starvation of several horses in Leona Valley, California.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the charges this week against Aron Emily Jacques, of Santa Clarita.
Two of the horses died and two had to be euthanized, according to the prosecutor in the case.
If convicted of all charges, Jacques faces a maximum possible sentence of seven years and six months in prison, to be served in local custody.
