At the current moment, Wayne is very average. It's like he's not even giving his best. He fell off big time, and maybe the Carter V will redeem him. I like Wayne, always have, but his music quality has decreased greatly.
A lot of rap in general is underrated on here; this is a pop forum, and the few rappers that can pull in everyone and get their attention (Drake, Nicki, Iggy, etc) usually have MAJOR crossover appeal.
you know what i realised people were really drawn into wayne 2008 but its the same wayne as 2014 ... his lyrics back in the day were same level as now ... just i guess after a while people get tired of those subjects/ topics but seriously i remember back in 08-09 people badtripping over his sex or money metaphors i guess its just after years of hearing about the same stuff people get tired
i think its more that hes not trash ... he just hasnt developed he remained status quo except rebirth were he declined
once again, if the best of the best call him talented and amazing and one of the best I don't see what everyones opinion really counts for ...
In the hip hop community is recognized as one of the best and huge legends like Kanye, jay Z Eminem Andre 3000 have nothing but praise towards him and we all know in hip hop its very competitive and rare youll see rappers compliment or praise one another as they all think they are the best
Wayne is one of the best and most successful regardless of mine or anyone elses opinion....
I love most of Wayne's work tho, but not to the point of being a stan.
