I hope she does have more control that before though. It breaks my heart ehen she refers to her albums as business ventures. The promo for Sheezus was abysmal. Her label and team need to get it together.

Lily said her album was more commercial because people were losing jobs at her label and they were pressing more for commercial albums.
Even Coldplay's album was more generic than normal. It's definitely Parlophone pushing her for that sound.
I'm sure she like the music she made, but I don't think her intentions were to make a more commercial record.
Before the era started she said she was writing serious music, and I remember saying she didn't want to rhyme "maybe with baby" (aka make predictable music) but who knows.
