Ne-Yo - Miss Independent
First off, I once again must credit MTV.com with the video cap, as awful as it is.

What?! I'm lazy! Second off, Bart I don't want to hear your nonsense with this pick. Now that we have that out of the way, I must say that Ne-Yo has come to be one of my favorites over the past few years. He continuously puts out album after album with great song after great song. I'll admit that when I first heard Miss Independent, I couldn't help but to think "how bland?" but then when I kept hearing it, I started to like it a lot and now I'm hooked! Ne-Yo really blew up with this album I think. He broadened his fan base without a doubt being all of the singles thus far have more of a pop feel to them. He really did deserve the SIX Grammy nominations he received this year. BOW!

Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown - No Air
I've been loving all the reviews about this one this year on this board (i.e. the thirty seconds of screaming). A little dramatic? Maybe but American Idols never make good videos. Let's talk about the song. I don't know what it is! There's nothing that really should stand out in this song. We have a very average American Idol winner with a subpar
R&B vocalist. It doesn't sound appealing, does it?!?! However, when you listen to it, it's like ecstasy of the ear! Undoubtedly one of the best American Idol singles ever and obviously one of the overall best this year. Chris Brown has really grown on me since
Exclusive dropped and this is the only reason why I'm looking forward to Jordin's next album. w00t.
