Bayonetta is one of the few videogames out there with a strong and badass female protagonist. Yes, she's sexualized but she still slays.

Essentially: angry gamers are harassing female game developers and female game critics. It's a big sh*t storm in the industry right now and it's getting a lot of mainstream press. The thing I like about Bayonetta is that she's in control. She's completely aware of who she is and what she looks like. She's sexualized but she's not submissive. A lot of female protagonists in games tend to be super serious but Bayonetta just wants to have fun and look fierce
