150 OASIS THE SHOCK OF THE LIGHTNING Dig Out Your Soul Video Link If there was something I was not expecting this year, that was an appealing new Oasis album. What a pleasant surprise and what an exciting first single. It may not have brought anything new to the table, but its appeal is exactly the opposite. This track screams Oasis and it's highly enjoyable. Expect the second single of DOYS, I'm Outta Time, to be on the year-end countdown next year.

149 GLASVEGAS GERALDINE Glasvegas Video Link I can't help to scream "My name is Geraldine I'm your social worker" each time I listen to this song, which has brought me some ugly glances on the street. I really don't know what it is that makes this song catchy, but it captures you. Good tune.

148 LADYHAWKE DUSK TILL DAWN Ladyhawke Video Link God, what an awful video. Overacted. Cheap. Repetitive. Thriller-like, in a bad way, of course. Whoever came up with the concept of that should be slapped. Despite that video, this song has anyone dancing.

147 THE CURE THE ONLY ONE 4:13 Dream Video Link No matter what Robert Smith sings and no matter how old he is to compose and sing the things he composes and sings, he'll always be ok on my list and I'll always buy it. This song's lyrics are so simple and sound as if they'd been written by a 14-year-old. Never mind.

146 SARAH MCLACHLAN U WANT ME 2 Closer Video Link Everyone’s missed her and she’s back. Her smooth voice and all the peaceful atmosphere her music brings. Will that ever change? I don’t think so. She can last for as long as she wants.

145 THE TING TINGS THAT’S NOT MY NAME We Started Nothing Video Link This was the first song I downloaded from the Ting Tings and I immediately hated it. What I hated the most was the silly chorus. I’d only heard it three times but it got stuck in my head for a month, when I finally realized I actually loved it.

144 THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS KEEP MY COMPOSURE Brotherhood Video Link Weird at first, epic at the end, I loved this track, which first was part of the Heroes Soundtrack and then was added in the CB’s new album, Brotherhood. It screams action movie (or series) and it’s so much better than Midnight Madness.

143 LITTLE MAN TATE BOY IN THE ANORAK Taking Chances Video Link So British, which is the way I like my music. This one reminds me of my that second job I had in Summer, back in January, February and March this year.

142 JIMMY EAT WORLD ALWAYS BE Chase This Light Video Link I didn’t like Big Casino, so I wasn’t going to download the second single, whichever one they chose. I don’t remember how I ended up downloading it, but my finger was on repeat for long because of this song.

141 ZEN HABLARTE OTRA VEZ Horizonte Video Link This Peruvian band deserves claps because of not having done anything wrong ever. Ever. This one has to be their most outstanding track since their very first one, called “Sol”. And the video, shooted at a Bolwing in Lima looks too good.

OK people, so here's the deal. Some of you know I work all day on Saturday, so I couldn't update then. After that, my brother has a car crash, so we were at the hospital and everywhere else helping and that's why there hasn't been an update since Friday.

I don't want to go Bart on you, so the show will go on. I haven't had time to do the caps for the next set, so expect the second set today in about an hour

140 PRIMAL SCREAM CAN’T GO BACK Beautiful Future Video Link It’s funny that these guys have always rocked and they’ve always done it well, but the song I like the best by them is the electronic cover they did for “Some Velvet Morning” featuring Kate Moss. And it isn’t that I underrate their previous work, but what a surprising single it was. This one was on the safe area but safe is still good for them.

138 GOLDFRAPP HAPPINESS Seventh Tree Video Link Allison Goldfrapp delivering brilliance as she only knows how to. This time giving tips on how to feel better. And the video is nothing but cheerful and makes you feel like jumping. Too bad I had an injury on my toe a week ago and I can’t jump.

137 LILY ALLEN EVERYONE’S AT IT It’s Not Me, It’s You Video Link Yeah, why is this charting and not The Fear? Maybe because this one had enough time to grow on me. Am I the only one who thinks this new direction suits Lily better than the Alright Still direction? There’s one more track by her on this chart and it wasn’t a single but it screams Hit. You’ll see where it is.

136 AZEDA BOOTH BIG FISTS In Flesh Tones Video Link I was introduced to this song by the one and only Mr. Trevor Cold (aka Mike, Mickey, Trevora, Trevita, Gloria Trevi, Miguel, bitchula, etc). And thanks Mike for that. Big Fists is relaxing. Its video is about a wedding in 1967 and it’s all about remembering good times and celebrating happiness. Definitely a chill pill a lot of ATRLers should take.

135 DUFFY WARWICK AVENUE Rockferry Video Link A lot of people can relate to the lyrics of this song. Whoever says he/she hasn’t had a jerk bf/gf who wanted to be back with you despite all the BS (no, not Britney Spears. Damn! She always gets her way into threads!) has a bad memory. OK in lyrics, better yet in interpretation, but terrible in video.

134 TOM JONES IF HE SHOULD EVER LEAVE YOU 24 Hours Video Link OK, so if you’re going to say something bad (and predictable) about Tom Jones, save it. Your favorite singer will never sing as beautifully and will never tell a story as well as he does. And for sure your favorite singer’s career won’t be as long. Just embrace his greatness and listen to this masterpiece and a lesson on how pop should sound like.
