I don't think BOMT sold 30 million AT ALL. Xtina's debut album chart runs are BAD outside North America, so where would those 6-8 million come from? It sold 3 million, perhaps even 2.5 million before the catalog sales

You don't understand, do you? If it could smash outside the US without any huge stars, then why wouldn't it stateside? It's not like the US have a particularly different musical palette than other Anglophone countries.
