In not totally surprising but still fantastic news: After, the Harry Styles fan fic series by 25-year-old Anna Todd, is officially becoming a movie; Deadline reports that Paramount has acquired the rights.
The story — about a type-A college freshman named Tessa who falls for a bad British boy with too many tattoos named Harry — first appeared on the online writing platform Wattpad in 2013. The series has since racked up more than a billion views, making Todd one of the site's most popular authors ever. Simon & Schuster then acquired the rights to the story, Todd signed a six-figure deal, and the book is out October 21 — next week!
Now, on to fantasy casting: Who will play Tessa and who will play Harry? (Note: Harry is named Hardin in the published book. Depending on your personality, that will either make you think "Holdin" as in Holden Caulfied or "hard on" as in a hard dick.) Todd has said she imagined Indiana Evans when she was writing Tessa and one would presume she was imagining Harry when she was writing Harry/Hardin — but there's no way that's going to happen. (Cameo, maybe/please?) What about Bella Thorne and ... Ezra Miller?

omg my little cousin is a 1D fanatic and she writes her own fan fictions herself on that same website and like back in august she was telling me how one of the friends she made on that website is going to have her story turn into a movie. at first i took it with a grain of salt but not I'm sad i dismissed what she was telling me
