However there are some issues in what she said. Why does she always need to redefine things? Sure, feminism is about the female artist but she should be concerned with a lot more than just female artists. I don't really agree with these quotes, though coming from Gaga I understand why she is saying them:
“This is the type of feminist that I am: that women can be tremendous artists.”
"A feminist to me is somebody that wishes to protect the integrity of women who are ambitious."
Does this mean she doesn't believe that women can be tremendous mothers, housewives, doctors, lawyers, etc.? And what about women who don't have a lot of ambition? Do they not deserve to have equal rights as men? I'm sure she doesn't think this way but there's no need for her to separate which part of feminism she wants to associate herself with just because it relates to her struggles. That's not real feminism.

Exactly.
But still, women can be ambitious housewives and mothers, too. Being ambitious doesn't necessarily mean you have to become an artists. However, I agree with you that GaGa makes it seem like exclusively ambitious women (howsoever she defines ambition) deserve equal rights, which is absolute ******** and lol-worthy.
