Is it fair to exclude DC´s discography from Beyonce´s sales?
Is it fair to exclude Destiny Child´s discography from Beyonce´s sales?
Haters often argue that it was group´s success, not Beyone´s and it shouldnt be counted towards her sales and impact. But whenever they are talking about Kelly or Michelle they include DC´s sales to their total ones. Is it fair ? Wasnt Beyonce always the frontwoman of the band (inarguably with the biggest impact in the group) and primarily contributed the the group sales herself ?
The pressed souls doesn't like to include DC numbers to her stats... but they like to say their faves are more successful than Bey at a younger age (example: the taylor swift thread where there are some people saying Taylor is more successful than Bey was at her age )

No. She was the lead vocalist, writer and producer in basically all of their songs. It's annoying how people seem to ignore how vital her role was in the group. There wouldn't be a Destiny's Child without Beyonce.

Yes because she recorded a lot of albums with them and is the lead member but then again the DC sales count to all the 3 members cause it IS a part of their discography..
On the one hand, we all know Bey was the face and voice of DC, but it was technically a different brand than solo Beyonce. Also, the fact that they were a group helped them out majorly, because girl groups were massive at the time. We can't be sure how successful a solo Beyonce album with the same songs and the same promotion would have been in the late 90's/ early 00's.
YES. They are not HER # they were DC's # aka Bey, Michelle. Kelly and the other girls from when they started as a group not her solo #. As someone said people don't include No Doubt's # for Gwen, BEP's for Fergie, NSYNC's for Justin their solo careers should be counted separate.
Yes it should count. She was a founding member for crying out loud How could you disregard years of success? So yes it should be included in Beyonce's as well as Kelly's discography sales.

Why are people mentioning Fergie and BEP ? BEP would be trendemously succcessful without Fergie easily, Destiny Child would NOT exist without Beyonce. Sorry for Kelly and Michelle fans but DC = Beyonce and others. The others were multiple times changed but DC still worked thanks to Bey.

Add Fergie and bamn first hit single, first hit album (elephunk). If anything all their sales should go to fergie too
actually its more than appropriate to include them. i mean they sold millions of albums, 90% of the songs were sung by her and people buy albums because of just that...i don't think they did to hear Kelly's or Michelle's 2 1/2 seconds in each song (no shade, love em)
