The whole counting their wallets thing is so perfunctory and a classic sign of being wrong. Proven wrong about them being able to sell units, so then you attack from the East and divert it to how much money they make, or rather, they fail to make. Now I ask, what does it matter? Does that make acts like Soyou defunct then, since Some was a monster streaming hit?
The tea is that 2NE1 sold well this year. Double GG + TTS combined (their next competitors, not saying them for the sake of it). They also proved a valuable asset to YG. YG Entertainment has broken their previous first quarter records, helped by the success of 2NE1
Quote:
Total sales revenue is up 36%, operating profit is up 31% and net profit is up 33%, which means that YG Entertainment has once again beaten their own records and has posted their best ever first quarter results.
These results were largely thanks to the success of 2NE1′s second album, “Crush,” which made up 13.5% of YG Entertainment’s total sales in first quarter 2014, bringing home approximately USD$5.35 million. 2NE1′s 2014 World Tour and Big Bang In Seoul concerts also contributed positively to YG Entertainment’s first quarter results with total sales revenue of USD$4.57 million or 11.6% of total sales revenue.

So you can count all the streams/downloads/smart cards you like. If you're doing it for them, you're also discrediting this industry and everyone else in it, including those two in your avi that I'm unfamiliar with, so please take every available seat
