I personally being from NYC prefer east coast rap including artists like

Ma$e, Biggie, Fabolous, A$AP Rocky, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown and Azealia banks

over

Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Game, Tupac, Kendrick Lamar and others

I guess East coast. The best lyricists I've heard seem to be from the East Coast

New York rap cannot be touched. Other region might release bops, but East Coast rappers generally focus on lyricism first & foremost.

I am not really knowledgeable on where the majority of the hip hop artists originated from that I like, so I don't really know.

East Coast definitely. I'm probably biased because I'm from Jersey but just the sheer talent on the East.

I do like the West Coast bops too.
