Exactly.
And I think a big mistake when it comes to Her music is to assume that every song tells it -exactly- as it happened. She is mostly a confessional songwriter, and you can get a great picture of Her love life from her music, but She is also looking to make the best songs possible. Like all good songwriters, She will embellish where necessary, or even take one tiny event and expand it into something much bigger. She could draw inspiration from multiple relationships into one song.
Like, just because She says "you keep my old scarf" doesn't mean Jake -actually- still has it (inb4 a receipt). She might have invented that part just because it's a great lyric.
So trying to date Harold for a few weeks may have inspired a bunch of good songs, but that doesn't mean they had the relationship of the century.
If you try to connect every single lyric of every single song to X moment with Y person, you do the same thing the media does whenever they assume Taylor is dating Z just because she breathes in the same room as them.
