She has also said that the huge difference between Red and 1989 is that She has not experienced any true heartbreak since the relationship that inspired Red. Hence none of the songs being about heartbreak or criticizing an ex, and the fact that She says She is friends with Harry still (not the case for John or Jake who obviously broke Her heart). It's literally all right there in Her lyrics and interviews.

So she did not get her heart broken by Harry. So what? If they decided to end things after a while, does not mean she does not consider it one the of the 3 real relationships of her life. Obviously Jake was the real love of her life so far, and him breaking up with her broke her heart. Harry and Taylor seems to have ended in a different way, but that does not mean the relationship was not real.
We can glean from secret sessions info is that they are still on good terms and that Taylor does not seem angry or upset with Harry. All her recent talk about relationships and being single seems to imply that it is her decision to avoid dating right now because her experience tells her that things can become too chaotic with the media putting too much pressure on the relationship. Maybe she and Harry broke up because of these things?
If Harry had meant nothing to her then she would have paid him dust in this album. It appears there is more than one song about him on 1989. Would she have bothered if it wasn't real in her view? The other songs will help shed some light on the issue.
