Why the heck don't they delay flights by 1 or 2 days, take the passengers to a secure facility and do a health screening? Check to see if they're infected or not. Why even bother announcing "Oh, this passenger didn't show symptoms until they landed on our soil." By then it wouldn't even matter because they're infected and infecting other people (the nurses, who then infect their co-workers and their families, who then infect everyone else on the streets).
Shouldn't it be a protocol to start screening the passengers before, oh lets say, TAKING OFF to another country (specifically back home to the US? Thank you so much for bringing the disease here!)
That would be extremely expensive and time-consuming.
It's already more time consuming and expensive treating the patients and then treating the next and the next. We would be doing ourselves a favor by keeping our country secure from it. Seems like the government wants this to be a pandemic instead of keeping their citizens safe.
- World health organizations are confident in saying that you are not contagious while asymptomatic.
- Yes, they should screen passengers before leaving affected countries, but that requires their cooperation and confidence in their procedures.
- The restrictions at destinations seem like an optimistic after-thought. After all, passengers could fly from Africa to Europe while asymptomatic, begin exhibiting symptoms and then hop on a flight to the US, and they would not be screened.
- An infected asymptomatic person will pass all screenings anyway.
That would be extremely expensive and time-consuming.
right, gotta keep money to spend on missiles to blow up Islamists
edit: and of course to win the whose dick is bigger contest with China's military, can't forget that.
