Brit didn't work with Luke until '08 so she had enough power against him for him to do anything.. plus she was never signed with him

Kesha is CLEARLY the victim here, and she's FINALLY standing up for herself after YEARS of abuse by not only Dr. Luke, but the bystanders who allowed this all to happen without saying a word or making so much as an effort to stop Dr. Luke from treating Kesha is such a way.
P.S. I don't understand why people are taking the angle like "she's just making this up to get out of her contract"... this is the REASON she wants to get out of her contract! Of course she doesn't want to be affiliated with somebody who sexually assaulted and took advantage of her. If these allegations weren't true, there would be no need for her to want to get out of the contract. Sexual abuse aside, the comments that he made towards Kesha regarding her talent, vocal ability and appearance were completely uncalled for and his control over her work as an artist is unfair and his control over her own songwriting is unacceptable, she has EVERY right to want out of the contract.
There are two clear parts to this lawsuit, the sexual harassment part and the unfair business part. It just so happens that Dr. Luke blurred the lines ( ) between the two, making sexually demeaning comments in regards to Kesha and her appearance with her music career too. They're intertwined. |

Why?
I don't know any of these people personally so I'm not going to stick my hand in the fire for anyone. People do weird things. And horrible things. For all you know, her motive is money. Or she's speaking the truth.
I'll wait before condemning anyone.

She hadn't sued for money, all she wants is out.
She hadn't asked for any outright money demands from what I can see, so obviously she's legit. Why she risk her career, her rep, her dream, and all her cash if this wasn't true.
And she wants nothing in return except to be free from him (which would mean not getting his funding).

Of course she's outright asking for money. It's right there in the lawsuit: requesting general, special and punitive damages (it's pretty much on all the pages). She's also asking for contracts to be made void; which means she could probably negotiate more money from royalties and stuff; again asking for money.
She's even suing other record labels for money not protecting her from Dr.Luke even though in the lawsuit itself she says that she never complained to them about him.
Saying she doesn't want money from the lawsuit is a lie.

Agreed. This is what i have been trying to say all along. People claiming that she is making it up, think about how bad her relationship with Luke is/has been if she is willing to go to these lengths to 'make it up'.

This should NEVER happen to anyone, EVER. I feel so bad for her and I'm happy she got into rehab and is in a much better place mentally and physically right now
