I just saw this thread, and I'm literally in tears now.
Me and 'JessieJHeartbeat' started talking on WhatsApp in December. I was intrigued by her and I wanted someone to talk to.
Her name was Pearla and we spoke nearly every day. She told me about how hard her life had been. Long story short, her family was killed in a car crash when she was 8, and she has lived in a foster home ever since.
She had extreme paranoia as well as various other illnesses such as ADHD. (I don't mind sharing this because I'm not giving away her surname, personal details etc)
To be honest with you, I normally would be concerned speaking with someone as unstable as her (something I'm not proud to admit), but she was so kind, generous and funny I completely overlooked the conditions she suffered from. (we Skyped loads too, I forgot to mention that)
The truth is she did love Jessie J, and became obsessed with her. I remember her showing me her room on Skype and she had loads of Jessie J cutouts.
And she did break her leg for Jessie, although it is not as insane as it sounds. She broke her leg falling down the stairs (accidentally), and then to prove her dedication to Jessie, took the pics of her leg and said she broke it to be like her. She sent it to Jessie's management (not expecting to get a reply or response), but instead they saw it as an opportunity to make a story out of it, and sent it to the press.
She hoped she'd be able to laugh it off, but her carers ended up having to go to court to avoid any further exposure.
Despite years of counselling, she became increasingly paranoid and depressed. I tried to help her but it wasn't enough. In July she left me a message saying she couldn't handle the pain anymore and, at either 13 or 14 years old (she never told me her birthday) took her life.
I managed to get through to her carers on Skype and they told me what happened. I live in Turkey and she lived in the UK so sadly I couldn't go to the funeral but I was absolutely devastated. She was so kind and was such a good friend.
I know some of you won't believe this story, and those who do may be concerned with the fact I have shared such overt details online, but as I said no-one apart from me (on this site) knows her name, what she looked like etc, and I hope it will remain that way.
I just thought I should let you know. I know people liked her on here, and I know it is what she would have wanted me to have done (she loved ATRL).
And to those of you who don't believe me, fair enough, it does sound like a tall tale. But please don't troll, just leave.
RIP Pearla, aka JessieJHeartbeat, ATRL icon and incredible person. You won't be forgotten.
And mods is there any way her account can be deleted?
PS that Twitter account is NOT JessieJHeartbeat.
PPS we shared each others account logins, and I think she used my account once or twice. I don't know though.
