Did he lie though? It does seem nowadays Madonna has to latch onto someone else (Diplo, LMFAO, M.I.A., Nicki, Natalia, Pharrell, Timbaland, etc. for example) to try to get a hit. Yet nothing he said reads as a gender issue, which is why the whole misogyny thing is bs.

No. Madonna doesn't "latch" on to someone else. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to you but like everyone in the business Madonna workds with producers etc etc It's just publicised now with the introduction of social media like instagram.

In every album Madonna has ever made she has worked with a variety of different people within the business just because you get to hear about it now via instagram posts (which is oftenthe source of billboards article) doesn't mean it's something new that never occured in the first instance.

Also, I would hazard a guess that a professional within the industry know a lot more than you about the various issues she faces. Like it's reasonable to say that Grimes has more insight than you, but here you are anyways trying to say that she's wrong based on the premise that gender has to be mentioned for it to be considered misogyny. Just because you didn't understand it, doesn't mean it wasn't there. I'll explain it again. One of his first lines:

"Blah blah Madonna shouldn't be gyrating around like a 20 year old"

This would not have been said if a 60 year old Male was shirtless gyrating around on stage - Rockers do this all the time and no one has an issue with it.

You don't need to specifically mention gender for their to be an undertone. His entire paragraph of diatribe was ageist and misogyny.

misogyny is all over the place within the business as well. Just take a look at the grammys - There was 60 and 70 year old men there that walked the red carpet yet the media focused on Madonna looking old.

You should take a second to reflect on what you're doing. I can only assume you're pretening you can't see it because you simply don't like Madonna but ignoring these retrogade ideals will only hurt your fave in the future - After all whatever female you stan for will be 40 + one day and by industry standards they'll be too old to continue their career.

The new man, apparently, will gradually come to assert his authority over the Neanderthals of days gone by, wielding his intellect and therapeutic literacy as, once upon a time, white-shirted archetypes splashed on the Brut and flexed their biceps. Pink's life-script is basically swiped from the half-forgotten eighties college-movie spoof Revenge Of The Nerds: tellingly, above cover art showing its heroes surrounded by cheerleaders, that film's tagline read "now it's time for the odd to get even".

The grossness of the statement goes beyond its reduction of women to instruments of revenge in a centuries-old dick-swinging contest. It also contains an implication that men can – and perhaps even should, if we read this as dating advice – feign sympathy with feminist anger about institutionalised, 'traditional' misogyny in order to pull. It's hard to believe that the problems Pink has with alpha male sexual attitudes are motivated by anything other than a desire to heal his own old playground wounds, and there's certainly no desire for gender equality behind it. Indeed, in another ill-fated interview, this time with Fader, he went abruptly off-piste to state that his ambition was to be able to 'support' a partner who would "****ing, you know, stay home and make French fries and have babies". Some support, that. For all that self-styled beta sensitivity, romance gets utterly subordinated by Pink's wish to have a trophy partner to show off to his neighbourhood's SUV-driving jocks.
