I'm not really familiar with rape case timetables, especially ones of this magnitude that reach so far back, but I'm sure it's not as quick to build a case as it appears on TV. After she cut ties with Luke and left rehab, it probably took ages to get all of the case against him together, not to mention build the courage to actually go forward with it. The fact that people are accusing her of lying about being raped just because of how long she waited is sort of absurd to me.
