that's not what we learn
I've learned that Columbus only "discovered" north america, Pedro Alvares Cabral discovered Brazil, but way before that, the Vikings already had knowledge of the whole continent
edit: now that I think about it, that's kinda messed up and doesn't really make sense in some points, but hey
