Discussion: Have you dropped your new iPhone already?

I am so mad y'all.
Just got my new phone a week ago and it already FELL. The headphone cable got stuck and it literally fell on the ground. Luckily no broken glass or back, but a scratch on the top of my new iPhone 6.

Luckily I have insurance and I'll probably throw it against a wall in about a month or two, solely to get a new phone.

Y'all got any stories? Has your new phone fallen yet? Or do you have stories of past events when something similar happened?

no i haven't dropped my note 3 in the 1 year that I've had it i switch phones every year and give my old ones to my friends or family and they're always shocked at the condition i deliver them in i never drop my phones ever ! I'm obsessed i would probably cry if that happened to me

I'm forever dropping my iPhone 5 (at LEAST once a day) but i've been pretty lucky, only one very small scratch

I have dropped my iPhone 5 a bunch of times without a case / screen protector for 2 years and it has no scratches or cracks,

It makes my cringe to see people walk around with naked phones. Buy a case! Even one of the cheap $.99 ones from Amazon are better than nothing. I don't want to hear you complaining about breaking/scratching/shattering your phone when you didn't have it in a case. Plus they just look ugly when they have scratches all over them.

Also, when I got my last phone (an iPhone 5), it had a mark on one of the white bands that wraps around the side out of the box, so I made them give me a new one. Everyone made fun of me for making a big deal over such a small mark, but if I'm going to pay over $200 for a phone on contract, I want it to come out of the box looking flawless.

I had the same thing with my previous 6, and I got a new one from them. I was about to buy a case and then that happened. Karma got me real good. I don't even know what to do. I'm so frustrated and annoyed

My phone doesn't feel brand new anymore

You could buy a case that will cover the scratch. It won't get rid of it, but at least you won't see it every time you look at your phone.

That's what I did. I went into the store and the guy just started laughing.

When my insurance starts counting (end of November), should I just drop it and get a new one?

I dropped my 6 yesterday in the living room on laminate flooring but it mostly just skidded since I was sitting down, it was fine.

I dropped it from standing a few days ago but it landed on the edge of the case and not a scratch in site.

If you use your insurance, you are going to have to pay a deductible and there might be limit on how many times you can use it. Also, depending on the insurance, they might give you a "certified pre-owned" phone and not a brand new one.

Nah my insurance is a very good one. I'm paying 20 euros a month for it so they best give me a new one. They told me if something happens to my phone, they'll give me a new one but the insurance only covers it for a maximum of three times. Also, you pay 50 euros as ''your own risk'' money. I'll check that link out, thank you
