Another nostalgiATRL fact: Before 2012, Base never existed. Base was intended as a mixture of Music News, Polls and The Lounge. The Lounge hosted a lot of the discussions about artists and pop culture, Polls were... well, polls, and Music News had fans left only to chat in the single/album threads and not their individual threads.

Speaking of Polls, it was so irrelevant that even I forgot about it. Only lasted for about a year as its own section.

I love Base. There are fare too similar/regurgitated topics atm but it is very fascinating to me to see so many different opinions on music and ranks. What makes someone sad, what disgusts someone else. It's so opinionated and I love it (plus I kinda love Stand Your Ground too). Glad they have it now.
