I watched it like 7 hours ago. And I still can't stop thinking about how truly brilliant the whole episode was. It was shot, and scripted so perfectly, it was just completely action packed, and exactly what was needed for the premiere, I love all the characters after this episode, and when they all walked that line together after leaving Terminus, I was so glad that none of them had died, even the new comers. The group is huge now, and I can't wait for the season to go deep into the story telling, and character building etc, but this was seriously the best first episode of the show thus far, it's up there with the mid-season finals, and the season finales. I'm hooked once again, I actually knew I would be, I didn't fear that it would go down hill, because I really think their is so much this show has to offer.
One thing that annoyed me that had nothing to do with the actual show, I read one comment by accident somewhere, not on atrl. But somewhere, before I had viewed the show, and somebody said that the baby's neck gets snapped, and when I read that, I kept thinking omg it's going to be Judath, but then I was like maybe this person is just being a troll, and then it came to the scene where the dude was threatening to break the babies neck, and I was literally screaming at the TV, saying he better not touch that damn kid. I thought Judath was gone, and it made me so emotional, so when Judath, Carol, Daryl, and Rick where all reuinted at the end, it was so emotional, I teared up. Carol is without a doubt my favorite character, I hope they don't kill her off this season, she has grown so much from the first season, I mean who would've thought the woman who got beat by her husband, and seemed to be a background character, that would be killed off by the end of the first season, would come full circle, and become the biggest badass on the show, she knows exactly what needs to be done, and has no hesitations about it, it obviously takes a toll with her, and you can see that, but she just doesn't even think twice anymore, she just does, and that's exactly what the group needs, in my opinion Carol along with Rick and Daryl are the 3 biggest bad asses on the show, I just love her so much, and I just bloody know the show is doing this, because she is a fan favorite and they're going to pull her from under us and kill her off, when we least expect it, and we're all going to be heartbroken, they did it with Andrea, and I fear they'll do it with Carol.
I just don't understand how time, and time again they've continued to get this show so right! I think having the comics pre-written, and a huge team of creative minds has really made this show such a memorable experience. Just like most films, with books written prior, I feel are some of my favorite movies. A truly incredible start
