The performance stars with her standing facing a screen, her back facing the camera. On the screen they show a short montage or all of her music videos. Suddenly, the montage ends and everything goes dark for a few seconds. Than, a creamy sky blue background appears as the first couple bars of "Teenage Dream" plays. She is wearing a simple yellow summer dress with her hair in a natural black style. As she sings "You think I'm pretty", she turns away from the screen so that she is now facing America. She performs the song as several back-up dancers approach her. They proceed to perform a simple but effective choreography. At the end of the performance, the jeep from the Teenage Dream music video pulls up on stage as she sings "We freak in our jeep". She climbs into the jeep to find that none other than Snoop Dogg is in the driver's seat, as she sings "Snoop Doggy Dog on the stereo". Back-up dancers surround them wearing candy-themed outfits, while the blue background on the screen is replaced with a pink cotton cloud background. She proceeds to sing the second chorus of Cali Gurls while sitting in the car and then Snoop raps his verse. Near the end of Snoop's verse, a back-up dancer approaches Katy and gives her a lollipop. Little does she know: the lollipop is poisonous. Suddenly, she falls unconscious as Snoop finishes his verse. The pink candy background turns dark and ominous while the back-up dancers and Snoop run off of the stage screaming in a panic. Suddenly, a beaming light comes down upon Katy as she is lifted by a wire out of the roof of the jeep. Suddenly, the trunk of the jeep opens up and Kanye West jumps out, singing "I got a dirty mind, I got filthy ways..". As Kanye performs his verse, Katy is lifted to a UFO-like structure on the other side of the stadium. Still unconscious and asleep due to the poisonous candy her dancer gave her, she is lifted into the UFO and briefly disappears while Kanye finishes his verse.
When Katy re-appears, she is wearing a futuristic metallic ensemble with her hair in a tight pony tail. She performs the first verse and chorus inside of the UFO while dancers dance on a stage beneath her. Suddenly, the doors of the UFO re-open and Rihanna steps out. Katy and Rihanna proceed to perform the final chorus of E.T. together, and then perform their new single together (
).
Afterwards, Rihanna exits the stage and the stadium goes dark for a moment. Suddenly, Dark Horse begins playing and a mechanical horse appears to transport Katy from the UFO back to the main stage while she is performing the song. When she gets back to the main stage, the stadium goes dark and a piano begins playing. A video montage plays and the montage is of Katy talking about her life and is meant to set an emotional tone. The montage ends and when the lights come back on she has returned to the main stage where she performed Teenage Dream and Cali Gurls. She is wearing a beautiful flowing silver sparkly dress and she performs an acoustic version of Thinking of You with a piano composition. She then performs Firework as actual fireworks surround her and appear on the screen behind her. The jeep appears back on stage, with a chaffeur dressed in a tuxedo, and he drives her off the stage as the stadium screams and applauds and fireworks continue to erupt.
