Call it what you will, Madonna uses up-and-comers and 'it girls' to maintain relevance. There's nothing wrong with that though. It isn't like she is the only one that does or has done so. However, when it came to Gaga, everyone was saying "Gaga is the new Madonna" blah. Even though Madonna is probably used to hearing this, you'd probably get tired of hearing about it, being asked "What do you think of Gaga?" etc so she could either dismiss the whole thing, or add fuel to the fire by running with it. Clearly, she ran with it and here we are years later still talking about this pathetic 'feud'.
