I kind off agree with them. I would probably have mine aborted too if it meant he was going to suffer his whole life otherwise.

I'm pretty sure disabled kids all across the world will be happy reading this. It's not just about this kid, it's about the group of disabled kids in general. Other disabled kids must definitely feel empathy for this little kid right here, and the parents should have kept their mouths shut. Any disabled child's parents could've said this, and how does that make the children feel?

That's awful. I understand some of their feelings like not wanting their son to suffer, but everyone only has one life, and depriving that child of life, no matter what kind of life would have been wrong.

I agree with them completely, although it wasn't necessary for them to say this publicly. I know that I wouldn't want to life live being mentally disabled.

It's understandable. He's suffering and is a massive burden upon the parents.

The parents need to stfu. They're not the only ones dealing with this and there are plenty of options to give him the help he needs.

They come across as lazy ass bitches who just want praise for doing what every parent ever does; sacrificing for a child. Yes it's hard and yes they're in a harder situation than most, but if you're willing to say you wish you would've ended that child's life then you're a ****** ass parent and you need to stop fishing for compliments on the "sacrifices" you've made.

What do I think they are getting paid for this?

I have worked with many different disabled children in the past and I have found them to be the most sweetest and innocent people in the world. That being said, I can understand the parents point of view. They would have to look after him for the rest of their lives and the child will never be truly independent.

But why the **** would you say it to the media?

I mean, If I had a child who is disabled. I should accept him who he/she is. But your child is your child, the parents shouldn't be bitching about it.

Yeah, it must be really to have a kid with those kind of problems but that is something that they shoulda kept to themselves, the kid would feel horrible after reading that and other people going through it won't take it really well.

Their feelings are real and I won't dismiss that, but this whole story is coming off pro-abortion. We know it is difficult to raise kids with disability, and because you had sex, doesn't mean you will be financially, emotionally, and physically prepared to take care of the child. So we understand that part of it. But the fact that the title focuses on the abortion part is what has my attention. I mean another option is to give him up for adoption, but they never mentioned that. For some people that is a more reasonable thing to say instead of saying you want to have an abortion. Just a thought. It might be wrong.

It's hard to say but I wholeheartedly agree.

My parents were told to abort me because I was 3 months early and was told I was going to have complications later on in life, which I did, but I'm thankful my parents didn't ever complain about how much my existence caused their life to be harder. I feel so bad for the child. These parents sound like they don't have unconditional love for their own child. He's here now and instead of them wondering how much better their lives could have been, they need to treasure what's going on here in the moment wether it be for the better or worse. You should never make your child feel like a burden especially when they have absolutely no choice. I really hope the best for him.
