In my opinion this is one of the worst mental disorders you can have. Literally you start making up your own reality and the real one just doesn't exisist anymore.
Actually the "real reality" can exist for them if they take their meds, but it can change any second and you can tell by their facial expresions. It's like an on/off switch.
I have an aunt with schizophrenia and I have never seen her being violent and she's never been locked up. However, my mother told me it was different when she was young (she used to chase my mom which was a lot younger to hit her ) but it was mainly because no one knew she had it at the time.
She can be violent if you piss her off, though. That's why me and my cousins never ****ed with her and she never did anything to us.
And yes, it's probably the worst and saddest mental disorders anyone can have.
this is so so so sad & she lost her mind.
I know how she feels & I am kinda scared that I will get to that point where she is now...
She is talking into the phone cuz she wants "people" to hear her.
I'd love to do a therapy with her
