I came out at school when I was in 4th grade lol. But I only came out to my parents about 3 years ago. My mother asked me if I was gay and I said yes haha. That's it.
I've come out to certain people. If they ask I tell them. If they don't ask then I don't. I'm not a very sexual person so I haven't had to hide having a boyfriend or anything. I'm pretty introverted and don't like many other people. On top of not liking a lot of people what are the chances that the small amount of people I like are gay and that I would like them in that way AND that they would like me back. So I figure I don't have to worry about much. Everyone who asked was just curious. Actually my sister asked me and she's the only one in the family who asked besides my mother. My sister was PISSED not becaus I was gay but because she felt like I didn't trust her enough to tell her. But we love each other so it all worked out. My parents are pretty religious and didn't take it too well. My father has said nothing about it and my mother just said it came as a shock and thanked me for not showing a whole bunch of PDA and **** around my little siblings. She also banned me from having male friends over. But now I live by myself so it's not a problem. Also I don't have any friends to invite over. I rambled a biT too much.
I came out when I was 16, so I guess I was in the closet for 16 years
But my coming out experience was a good one. The majority of my friends are straight, but very liberal people, so they didn't really care. They know that I am in no way, shape or form attracted to them sexually and our friendship remains the same to this day, as it was before I had told them.
As for my parents. The way I came out to them was kind of awkward.. but there was something on the news about the government trying to stop gay couples adopting children. I had made some passing comment, to which my dad replied that "a gay child is the result a gay parent" or something of that nature. My reply to him was simply "Okay, well is it you or mum who is gay?".
They were shocked at my delivery (because I was mad dad would say what he did) but mum took it fine, as I suspect she already knew. In many ways, it brought us closer. Dad took a while to come around, but only after I had told him he either accepts me, or never talks to me again, he decided to accept me.
So yeah, all in all, it wasn't too bad and I don't regret a thing. Honestly, you feel so much better once you come out. Even though nothing about me or the way I act has changed, the weight off my shoulders has been enormous.

I only came out to my internet BFF who I've met 3 times in real life. First 2 times before I came out, and the 3rd time we were out with other friends so we didn't talked about it and 1 and half year passed since I came out.
I didn't tell my friends from school and especially not my family! They are so conservative and so hateful of gays that I don't think I will ever come out to them! I'm 17 years old, I want to move somewhere out of my house in my 20's and hopefully to a different country, but as long as being away from my parents would be great so I could finally live my life free and the way I want. I'm scared to do anything since I live under the same roof.
And my only wish is that I could kiss a boyfriend before I get 18 years old! Lol I wanted to have a boyfriend since I was in 8th grade, even tho I liked boys waaaaay before that, I thought that is wrong and that I am sick or something because I was thinking that way because my family would say all these nasty things about gay people.
I came out of the closet last summer, after being set free by the good sis Born This Way, to this Saudi Arabian girl. She was so supportive, it made coming out to everyone else a breeze. The first few months of being out and proud was one of the best days of my life; it was like I was living in a whole new world.
I just wish I had come out sooner. I wasted so much time pretending to be someone I'm not.
I guess there were sings when I was like 11 but I didn't realize what I was until I was like 13. So 5 years I guess. Maybe I'll do it when I'm out of the house and really serious with someone
I'm still in it. I'll do it if I'm ever permanently estranged from my entire family. Unless that happens, I'm staying in forever. My dad, who is extremely religious, already said that I'd be disowned if I was.
