THIS! Why does she always have to use Madonna's name?
She has done it sooo many times.
My favorite time was the night before DWYW dropped, she had that meltdown on twitter and started posting about Madonna every 5 minutes like a crazy person.
It's really not a good look, but it gets her media attention every time so I see why it's tempting.
I mean, the whole thing is almost laughable. I mean, it really is.
I believe it was just last year she went on radio and said the whole perez thing was rooted in Madonna. That she feels like Madonna is aggravated she doesn't care about her. She wrote a blog entry about how btw/ey hurt her feelings. She tweeted about Madonna, non stop. Her entire creative team have been dissing Madonna publicly long before M even made her reductive comment and all because M called her out. She doesn't like being called out. Being told the truth
Madonna, Madonna, Madonna. It's all Madonna's fault.
Think about when you were young when you did something wrong but didn't want to face it and you would blame everyone else, you would lash out at other people because you didn't want to face what you had done. That kind of behaviour is a side effect of the type of drugs she admits to taking, it's a side effect of being bullied and it's a side effect of going out every night on stage to a crowd that was double the size a few years ago. Someone has to be blamed, not her of course. Madonna, she has no soul.
Madonna has been supportive of every young artist just ask Britney or Katy or Miley or countless others. Lady gaga needs to take a seat and realise if Madonna wasn't to her, it's because of her actions. The list of people lady gaga blames when something goes wrong, is always a long one and Madonna is always on it.
“She just looked at it and said: ‘And what do you do?’ I told her I was a singer and she just stared at me and didn’t say anything. It was really uncomfortable. Then she just ignored me.” - James Morrison http://www.gigwise.com/news/45984/ma...cording-studio
so I got around to reading the interview and I really don't see what the **** y'all are fuming over...
she was asked about her musical influences, one of whom IS madonna, and it's no secret that they don't get along. and the translation I'm getting is her saying "if I were an established artist, I would love to help young children" so idk where are y'all getting that she said madonna doesn't support new artists. then again when it comes to gaga y'all love to make **** up and run with it, so I'm not really surprised

Oh lord, the fallacy. First thing first, she meant Madonna was rooted indirectly. That is hardly blaming her and more blaming him not being able to respect that the two don't see eye to eye. And where is this blog? The only time I can remember her addressing BTW/EY was when she talked about it during her concert right when Madonna kick of hers and decided to that mash-up her Stans love. And what her team does is not her business, because if that was the case we should be dragging D&G, and Gaultier for coming for Gaga in the name of Madonna.
The only true laughable thing here is the fact that people spent 17 pages mainly talking about the "She has no soul" comment when she didn't even say it and then spending 1 sentence to 1 paragraph on the thing that actually came out her mouth.
Now to get on the nurturing the young generation comment. Can anyone show me a video of a young pop girl saying Madonna gave them advice on how to be a success in the industry? All you have is a music video/song/photoshoot she did with them. Are any of them still in contact with her?
And if you are going to post a receipt saying where is it for Gaga, save it, because Sam Smith got his letter and Tweet from Gaga. And so did Lorde.
Gags, no artist would ever want to help you if you tried to rip off his/her work without giving the credit where its due, like you did with for example BTW (shamelessly thanking Whitney for inspiration and calling thee comparisons to EY retarded), etc, you arrogant hypocrite. The fact that you have the guts to attack M after borrowing so much from her, disgusting.
Madonna took it very lightly on you, hun.
Not to mention that Madonna has worked with and supported many talented artists at the beginning of their careers, even helped to make their name and brand when she worked with people like for example Steven Klein when he was relatively unknown. She praised also your ass before you backstabed her. So shut the **** up, you ungrateful bitch.
Threads like this make us all look sad and deranged, going on page after page back and forth over what one person may have implied about another. If they don't like each other, oh well, their "feud" doesn't need to be ours.

Let's go through what you said.
What she actually said was
Quote:
“The whole thing is really rooted in Madonna, that's the sort of center of it"
That's not indirectly referencing Madonna. I'm not sure why you think that's indirect.
I'm not sure if you you actually didn't know about those things or you're just trying to downplay just how often she talks about Madonna. either way, you're wrong.
What her team does IS her business. If you are heavily inspired by someone and your main message is to preach love and kindness and you publicly talk about how when people say negative things everyone has the responsibility of standing up and saying "don't talk like that" - you do not allow your employee's to go ahead and bash people. It's not something you can really argue over, it's pretty standard.
Sure, I do indeed have many, many receipts.
Here is Britney Spears talking about how Madonna took her under her wing, gave her career advice etc etc etc
Here, you can read about how when Ellen had just started her career and was scared about coming out, Madonna supported her.
Anyways, it's irrelevant because Madonna doesn't hold the responsibility of supporting new artists if she doesn't want to (though she has) It's not a negative if Madonna choses not to support someone.
Madonna and gaga whilst are in the same genre and share similarities couldn't be further apart when it comes to their personality. Madonna is a fan of hard work, determination, having to put the hard yards in before you get a result. She is the epitome of health and fitness and whenever anyone works with her they always talk about her brutal attitude towards her constant work ethic and rehearsal methods.
Gaga admits to being high on stage (something unthinkable to Madonna) Gaga leads an unhealthy lifestyle (which is her choice, not a bad thing it's just her choice) she drugs, she parties, she raves - she goes out on stage high and that's appealing to some people, some people like you that like that kind of show and art others like the more traditional polished performance.
These are core values of Madonna's. Why should she support someone who is the polar opposite. This notion that Madonna has to support gaga or should have supported her is ridiculous. Her not doing so, isn't a negative - she doesn't hold that responsibility and gaga shouldn't expect it.
Exactly. And Gaga tweeting that about Madonna was no bigger of a promo stunt than Madge covering BTW on tour (regardless of how she meant it, Madge knew it would cause a stir).
Ya just gotta love Madonna fans. They seem to live halfway between reality and fantasy. I guess their fave wasn't the only one inspired by BTW.

Wait, what? And what do people associated with her talking about Madonna have to do with her? They have their own opinions.
And Gaga didn't do anything wrong. And she also never said Madonna has no soul, if you read the OP.

If you want to believe that gaga's entire creative team dissing Madonna since long before her reductive comment wasn't filtered down from the top by their boss that's your choice.
Either way she did do something wrong. The expectation that she should have been supported or the expectation that Madonna should support new artists even though their core values might be polar opposites was a silly thing for her to say.
More on that though, Many artists claim Madonna supported them, So who was gaga talking about? She was obviously talking about herself. She actually holds the expectation that Madonna should have supported her. What kind of entitled attitude.

Wait, what?
She said it was rooted in Madonna. Meaning, that's the reason Perez was being cruel to her and the subject he was using to take digs at her. She didn't mean it was Madonna's fault.
Where does she mention Madonna in that blog post?
And when did she tweet about her? She tweeted about the "reductive" thing along with several other bad things that people have said about her, as part of a publicity stunt for Do What U Want (since that's what the song was about).
And what various interviews? Howard Stern, this one.....anything else?
You're exaggerating big time.
And again, you guys act like people who are in any way associated with Gaga aren't allowed to have their own opinions, and they have to share the same opinions as Gaga.....that's not true, they can say what they want.
Care to share when Gaga admitted to being high on stage? She said she was smoking a ton of weed when her hip was breaking, but never was high when she had to perform. And how in the world do you know her lifestyle? She doesn't "drug" other than smoking weed (she's had past issues with addiction which are far in the past). Nothing wrong with partying every once in a while.
