What group of people? Sikhs aren't related to Muslims at all. Islam is related to Christianity and Judaism. Sikhism is from India.

I don't think intimidation has anything to do with this. The white man got into an argument with him, it escalated and his true colors, xenophobia and lack of education came out.

He was trying to intimidate a whole group of people dont you get it. That is the point of hate crimes. The person doesnt have to be muslim or whatever group they are targeting. The point was to terrorize a specific group not understand the facts.

If you read the full story, he was angry that the victim had his car door open and got into the argument with him. This escalated into an argument, racist slurs and the white man running over the victim.

The white man called him Osama and a terrorist because he thought the victim was a Muslim [like many ignorant people think of observing Sikh men and Indians].

Why is that funny?

Orthodox Sikh men have a distinct look because they don't cut their hair and wrap it in that cloth or "turban." They are targeted and stereotyped because of the way they look whether people know what they are or not.

it's funny because it's obvious It's like saying "because I'm Asian and I look Asian" or "because I'm white and I look white". you see the point? if he's a Sikh, then obviously he looks like a Sikh it will make sense if he say "because I look like a [...] but in fact I'm a Sikh", but I guess the poor guy was not really conscious after the incident
