That would be another criticism of mine: Instagram's and other social media sites' policies on content. Videos like this shouldn't even be prohibited, instead they could just introduce something similar to spoiler tags on boards and keep their sites much more free of censorship than they are now. But that's a different story.

"Force fed" is something you have no choice but to watch, and watch all the way through. You don't have to follow Madonna's son's Instagram. You don't have to watch more than a second of the video before you pause it. You COULD change your settings at any time and not have videos autoplay at all.

So there, no force-feeding. Get it right.

No, it doesn't have to be as extreme as forcing someone to watch the entire video. You don't have to be following her son (and I don't) to see the clip. You can find your own way over there simply by seeing what she posted, and you don't exactly know how extreme the content will be by her description alone. Even watching a second of MURDER isn't right in my eyes. I don't think you seem to get that. I don't want videos of people losing their lives to play on sites that I frequent, and a lot of other people feel this way. In fact, the majority feel this way, which is why there are policies in place regarding what content is allowed and what isn't. I DON'T and SHOULDN'T have to change my settings, because the videos that go on that site should be suitable for ALL viewers. It's a public site after all. If you want to post objectionable content, restrict your account.

Imagine the thoughts of those people whilst getting shot. "Why me, why can't I have the life of people in the western world?". The fact that a 14 year old (most kids his age are the most immature and stupidest kids) is educating himself and others on the topic is just excellent. It isn't like he is forcing it others as well, he is still being a kid (I follow him on Instagram) but being humble and acknowledging the struggles of people around the world.

What did you think the video was going to be about? Horses galloping through an empty field. Get real. If you don't want to watch it, use your brain and scroll down.

Everyday, we are force fed with commercials and irrelevant things. Why is this different? Only because it may make someone feel uncomfortable?
Yes, some 14 years olds may see it and be quite upset, but for many 14 years olds is war and death a part of everyday life.

To read about something is very different from actually seeing it. Thats why it is important to spread videos and photographs of what is actually happening, not only because it leaves bigger impact on you, but also because words can very easily twist the situation and create false impression.

I think people over the age of 12 NEED to see what's going on in the world. Problems aren't going away and all too soon they'll have to deal with it and maybe even be in a position one day to fix the problem

When people frequent Instagram, they don't suspect videos of murder to be posted. There are terrorist videos uploaded where no one is killed -- I hope you know this. It's not like if you didn't want to watch and the video started playing automatically you wouldn't see at least one person die by machine gun. Think a little.

Yes, that is a HUGE difference. It is absolutely unethical to upload a video like this and feed it to unsuspecting viewers.

It's not necessary to show death as it actually happens for one to take a stand. I've provided myself as an example posts before this one. I've already provided an alternative approach to this video: videos with Syrian opposition leaders and survivors describing what it is like to live in a extremist state. Surely hearing their voices full of raw emotion attached to photographs would elicit better reactions than watching murder, which could potentially turn many viewers away.

No, they don't, and IS spreads videos like this, because they want you to watch. You're only feeding into what they want.
