Nothing was "desperate" about Gaga's promo for C2C (which has actually been very minimal so far), we have no clue if any of these celebrities were paid for tweeting about it) and again, that's not a big deal), and the album has actually got great reviews. Gaga never said anything of the sort of "It's okay if i flop because i'm so artistic i sing jazz", that must be the imaginary character you've projected onto her, that you'll twist everything she says or does to fit.
And Gaga has plenty of "actual hits".
