Like the thread, have you ever been catfished by someone?
If you don't know what that means, here's the dictionary definition of it:

Personally, I have. I remember last year there was someone I was talking to and they were super against taking a video and he kept wanting to meet up. One time I did and he told me his car wouldn't start until I told him I wouldn't message him until he sent a pic with his phone and that's when he admitted to being a catfish.
